Our KOTTAS Kräuterhaus Organic Gunpowder is a full-bodied masterpiece of Chinese tea craftsmanship. Carefully withered and steamed tea leaves are rolled into small pellets to preserve their characteristic, slightly bitter yet refreshing flavour.

In China, the rolled leaves of gunpowder are used to prepare several infusions that differ in flavour:
- First infusion: Boil water, then let it cool to 80°C, to preserve the tea’s precious ingredients. Use a large enough sieve to allow the rolled tea leaves to expand. Per teacup (250ml), add 1 full teaspoon of tea to a pre-warmed teapot, pour water, let steep 2-3 minutes, then strain and enjoy!
- Second and further infusions: Use the same leaves as in the first one and pour 80°C hot water over them. Let steep for 30 seconds, strain and enjoy pure!
Our tip: The second infusion will have fewer tannins and caffeine, and therefore tastes particularly harmonious!

Storage: Store in a dry place and not above room temperature. Close the packaging properly after opening.
