Clarifying and grounding, KOTTAS Kräuterhaus Myrrh helps to create a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Its characteristic aromas provide optimism and help to relax body and mind. It also harmonises well with other resins such as frankincense and incense woods.
Myrrh is the precious gum resin of various species of the so-called myrrh shrub from the torchwood or incense tree family (Burseraceae), that originates from Somalia. Due to its preservative properties and spicy, tangy fragrance, this valuable resin was already valued in early times. In the western world, it became known through the New Testament as one of the gifts of the Three Magi ‘from the East’ – alongside gold and the popular incense resin frankincense.
