Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is one of the fat-soluble vitamins and is essential for healthy and stable bones. It contributes to better absorption of calcium (calcium) and therefore plays an important role in the mineralisation of bones. It also supports the normal functioning of muscles and the immune system.
The body produces the important vitamin itself through the skin with the help of sunlight (UV-B rays). The body’s own production can be reduced, especially in the winter months when there is little sunshine. Vitamin D3 drops can be a useful supplement here.
