Chamomile flower teaChamomile is a time-honored remedy for many ailments: For fullness, flatulence, stomach and intestinal problems, inflammation of the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat, and catarrh of the upper respiratory tract. Preparation: Pour a quarter of a litre (250 ml) of boiling water over one tablespoon of chamomile flowers, cover and steep for 10 minutes. Then strain the tea and sip lukewarm one cup 3 to 4 times a day before or after meals. For gargling, rinsing, inhaling and for the preparation of poultices, an infusion is prepared as followed: pour 2-3 tablespoons of chamomile flowers with a quarter of a litre (250ml) of boiling water and infuse for 10 minutes, covered.
