DR. KOTTAS Vital Mushroom complex
DR. KOTTAS Vital Mushroom Complex contains high-quality vital mushroom extracts from Chaga, Cordyceps and Hericium as well as B-vitamins, Vitamin C and the plant extracts ginkgo and ginseng root.
Vital mushrooms contain a variety of active biological substances and are considered to be multisubstance mixtures. As complex and valuable ingredients are especially the contained polysaccharides, beta-glucans, triterpenes, polyphenols and bioactive proteins.
Mushroom extract contains, among other things, a higher amount of beta-glucans and polysaccharides compared to mushroom powder. For DR. KOTTAS Vitalpilz complex we use special high-quality mushroom extracts standardized to 30 % polysaccharides, Cordyceps and Hericium additionally to 20 % beta-glucans. Chaga extract has 10% beta-glucans and also 2% triterpenes. Cordyceps contains polysaccharides and cordycepin, a nucleoside.
A contribution:
- to mental performance and neurotransmitter metabolism
- to energy metabolism
- to reduce fatigue and tiredness
Vitamins from the B-complex usually occur together in nature and mutually reinforce each other’s effect there. Vitamins from the B-complex include thiamine (vitamin B1), riboflavin (vitamin B2), niacin (vitamin B3), pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), pyridoxine (vitamin B6), biotin (vitamin B7), folic acid (vitamin B9) and cobalamin (vitamin B12). They are all water-soluble vitamins that are involved in many biochemical reactions in the human body. Water-soluble vitamins cannot be stored for long in the human body.
Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) contributes to normal functioning of the nervous system, normal energy metabolism, reduction of fatigue and fatigue, and protection of cells from oxidative stress. In urine it can cause a harmless yellowing.
Niacin (Vitamin B3), Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxin) and Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin) contribute to the normal functioning of the nervous system, normal mental function, normal energy metabolism and reduce fatigue and tiredness. The need for niacin depends on the energy requirements of the body. In the form of nicotinamide, it is considered to be better tolerated. Methylcobalamin is the biologically active form of vitamin B12 and is characterized by high bioavailability.
Vitamin B6 and Vitamin B12 contribute to normal functioning of the immune system.
Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) contributes to normal energy metabolism, reduction of fatigue and fatigue and normal mental performance. It is also involved in the formation and metabolism of some neurotransmitters.
Vitamin C (Calcium-L-ascorbat (Ester-C®)) is especially known to contribute to normal energy metabolism, normal functioning of the nervous system and psyche, and to reduce fatigue and tiredness. Vitamin C contributes to normal functioning of the immune system and protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Calcium-L-ascorbat (Ester-C®) iis pH-neutral, maintains a constant vitamin C level over 24 hours and is characterized by rapid absorption and high bioavailability. (Ester-C® and Ester-C® Logo are registered trademarks of The Ester-C Company)
Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) is mentioned in the 15th century as a traditional tea drink in Russia, and since then it has also been part of Russian folk medicine. The crooked schiller porling contains more than 200 active biological substances, including various polyphenols and special triterpenes, as well as various polysaccharides and beta glucans. In detail, these include melanin and sterols, such as ergo- and lanosterol, and betulin, a soluble lignin from birch, its host tree. Melanin is found in the outer, black layer of the mushroom. Chaga has a major and minor fruit form. The minor fruit form is what is commonly referred to as Chaga. In TCM, it is used as a strengthening tonic that is also said to be harmonizing to the mind.
Cordyceps (Ophiocordyceps sinensis) was already a highly prized and almost unaffordable mushroom in the 15th century. It grows wild in the Tibetan highlands at altitudes of 3,000 to 5,000 meters. Cordyceps extract can now also be obtained from mycelium. It is a parasite that attacks the larvae of root borers (Hepialus spp.). Some species also use ants as distributors of the spores. In traditional Chinese nutrition, it is considered to support Qi and Yang.
Hericium (Hericium erinaceus) is considered an excellent edible mushroom with a pleasant exotic taste. It is found almost worldwide and is also native to Europe. In nature Hericium is found on living trees or on dead wood. In the 1950s, methods for its cultivation were also found. In traditional Chinese dietetics it is highly valued mainly for its general harmonizing properties. Hericium contains polysaccharides, such as erinacin and hericenone.
Ginkgo-extract is obtained from the green leaves of the ginkgo tree (Ginkgo biloba), also known as silver plum, silver apricot or temple tree, picked in summer. For over 2,000 years, the leaves and seeds have been used in traditional Chinese nutritional teachings. Important ingredients include flavonoids, proanthocyanidins as well as tannins and essential oils.
Ginseng (Panax Ginseng) is the beet-like root of the Aralia plant Panax. It grows mainly in Korea, eastern Siberia and China, where it has been used and highly valued for many centuries. Vital substances contained in the ginseng root include saponins (glycosides of steroids), triterpenes and ginsenosides.
