In 2025, we will celebrate a special event – our 230th anniversary!

The roots of our family business go back to the 18th century. In 1795, Anton Kottas-Heldenberg opened his ‘medicinal herb store’ on Freyung – one of the most beautiful squares in the city centre of Vienna. Over the centuries and generations, the small shop developed into the first address for medicinal herbs of pharmacopoeia quality in Vienna. Today, as KOTTAS Kräuterhaus, it is known far beyond the city and national borders.

The taste of summer!

To mark the start of the warm season, we are celebrating our next anniversary promotion with an aromatic all-rounder: our tomato and mozzarella organic seasoning gives summer classics such as caprese, bruschetta and other dishes as well as pasta and potato dishes a fine Mediterranean flavour – with selected herbs and sun-ripened tomatoes.
