It also makes an excellent accompaniment to vegetarian dishes.<\/p>\n<p>Contrary to common belief, this particular spice is not a relative of black pepper. It belongs to the rue family and its name refers to the central Chinese province of Sichuan, where Szechuan pepper has a firm place in the local cuisine. For this exciting tingling spice, the dried fruit peels, from which the seeds have been removed, are used. These contain above all a lot of essential oils, which by their interaction ultimately cause the citrus flavour.<\/p>\n<p><em>KOTTAS Kr\u00e4uterhaus Szechuan Pepper<\/em> is made exclusively from 100% natural ingredients and contains no preservatives, flavour enhancers or artificial additives. It is salt-free, caffeine-free and vegan.
