  Frankincense is obtained from the resin of the frankincense tree (Boswellia serrata) and contains boswellic acid, which is known for its special properties. Frankincense has been used for purifying purposes in various cultures and religions for thousands of years. The earthy scent of frankincense is not only able to gently relax during incense burning. The frankincense balm unfolds its valuable properties through skin care and can be a blessing when gently massaged into stressed or strained areas of the body. With its fine resinous fragrance and warming power, it revitalises both body and mind together with the spicy aromatic juniper. St John's wort contributes gentle warmth and marigold envelops, protects and nourishes in its pleasantly "motherly" way. Frankincense Balsam sets things in motion where there are energy blockages.   Preparation of the balm according to old monastic tradition with selected mountain herbs and essential oils: wormwood, comfrey, arnica, marigold, daisy, yarrow, essential thyme flower oil, essential sage flower oil. The harmonious combination of special herbs and essential oils means that the mountain herb balm can be used in many different ways. The mountain herbs and plants it contains come from the mountain meadows and pastures of the Benedictine monastery in the Salzkammergut. The balm is a blessing, for example when hiking in the mountains. The natural ingredients nourish the skin, while the herbs contained in the balm relax and soothe tired muscles. Worm fern forms the largest part of the balm. In the ancient doctrine of signatures, it is associated with the back and spine due to its appearance, among other things. Comfrey has always been valued in botany. There is a saying about it: "Comfrey is good for the legs". Arnica is known in many tinctures and brings relief and relaxation. Calendula gently envelops, protects and nourishes. Daisy has skin-supporting qualities. Yarrow has relaxing and purifying properties. It contains flavonoids and tannins. Tannins are generally known to have astringent properties. Thyme essential oil has relaxing properties with its spicy, herbaceous scent. Thyme is also known to be soothing for irritated skin. Sage essential oil supports the much-described skin-caring properties of sage. Some examples of use:

• For tired, stressed arms and legs, knees, shoulders, back, neck, etc.
• During or after sport and exercise, e.g. hiking, walking, running, cycling
• For compresses and wraps (apply a little thicker)
• For a soothing back massage
